The last list we did for tall people was back in 2017. Since then, a lot of new models and new brands were introduced to the market, and we think it is now time to reveal the best gaming chairs currently available for big and tall guys.
We understand how frustrating it can be for someone above 6'3" to find a fitting pair of shoes, pants and of course, gaming chairs.
For each product, we'll give a quick summary and our comments to better help you make your decision. There is no particular order to this list since all of them have the same purpose: make gaming comfortable for you.
Let's just jump into it!
DXRacer Tank TS29 ($599 + Free shipping)
If you are familiar with DXRacer, you probably heard about the Tank series. At some point, it was the biggest gaming chair available. This massive of a chair is made for users up to 425 lbs (192 kg) and up to 200 cm (6'7"). You can notice that the wings on the side of the seat are lower compared to standard gaming chairs. This gives a few extra inches of usable space. The 4-direction armrests can also be adjusted from side to side, which offers another opportunity to get more room when needed. The tall and wide backseat is perfect when it comes to lumbar support. If needed, the included lumbar cushion can be used to add additional support.
- - Heavy-duty mechanism: Height adjustment, tilt tension
- - 3" casters/wheels: Smoother to move, especially on carpet
- - Polyurethane cover: Easier to clean
- - 4-Direction armrests
- - Includes 2 free cushions
- - Lifetime warranty on frame, 2-year warranty on parts
Although we say that this model is perfect for users up to 6'7", it can still fit taller users, as long as the BMI doesn't exceed 35. For example, if someone is 7' and 300 lbs, the chair will still be a good fit. However, if someone is 7' and 425 lbs, the seat may feel snug, especially in the shoulders area.
Arozzi Vernazza ($399 + Free shipping)
Although smaller than the Tank series, the Arozzi Vernazza is still worth mentioning considering it is made for users up to 300 lbs (136 kg) and up to 190 cm (6'3"). This model has all the features you can have on a gaming chair:
- - Multi-functional mechanism: Height adjustment, tilt lock, tilt tension
- - 3" casters/wheels: Smoother to move, especially on carpet
- - Polyurethane cover: Easier to clean
- - 3-Direction armrests
- - Includes 2 free cushions
- - 2-year warranty on frame, 2-year warranty on parts
In our opinion, this model is hard to beat compared to other similar models because of its price range. Usually, the other brands offering a similar model (based on suggested height and weight) cost around 425-$450 instead of $399 as the Arozzi Vernazza.
AKRacing Pro ($599 + Free shipping)
AKRacing is one of the oldest gaming chair manufacturers. The Pro model (Masters series) is their biggest chair available at this moment. Its frame is suggested for users up to 330 lbs (150 kg) and up to 190 cm (6'3"). This chair is better for slim to average body builds. If you have broad shoulders or thicker thighs, it may not be the best option because of how the wings of the seat are designed. Otherwise, it is a great option to consider, especially because of the unique base design and the original colorways available. One thing that definitely beats all the other models on this list is the warranty: 10-year warranty on frame and 5-year warranty on parts. This is considerable compared to the 2-year warranty available with the other brands.
- - Multi-functional mechanism: Height adjustment, tilt lock, tilt tension
- - 3" casters/wheels: Smoother to move, especially on carpet
- - Polyurethane cover: Easier to clean
- - 4-Direction armrests
- - Includes 2 free cushions
- - 10-year warranty on frame, 5-year warranty on parts
Techni Sport TSLX1 ($349.99 + Free shipping)
This model had to be put on our list for multiple reasons. For one, the price is surprisingly low for a chair that can support 350 lbs (159 kg) and 188 cm (6'2"). Although it only has a 2-direction armrest compared to 3 or 4-direction on the other models, for the price, it can't be beaten. The conventional mechanism will do the job unless you really want the tilt lock function. Otherwise, if you fit the suggested height and weight for this model, you should definitely consider this model as your next gaming chair.
- - Conventional mechanism: Height adjustment, tilt tension
- - 2.5" casters/wheels
- - Polyurethane cover: Easier to clean
- - 2-Direction armrests
- - Includes 2 free cushions
- - Lifetime warranty on frame, 2-year warranty on parts
EWin Flash XL ($399 + Free shipping)
EWin has been manufacturing chairs for years now. Although most of their models are made for smaller body size, they still produce the Flash XL model, which is their biggest gaming chair. Made for users up to 300 lbs (136 kg) and up to 190 cm (6'3"). For the price, it is surprising that it includes a 10-year warranty on frame and 2-year warranty on parts. It also has 4-direction armrests, 3" casters and comes with 2 free cushions. It is important to note that this model also has a standard version that has the exact same model. The XL version of this model is "FLNB".
- - Conventional mechanism: Height adjustment, tilt tension
- - 3" casters/wheels: Smoother to move, especially on carpet
- - Polyurethane cover: Easier to clean
- - 4-Direction armrests
- - Includes 2 free cushions
- - 10-year warranty on frame, 2-year warranty on parts
DXRacer Boss BF120 ($599 + Free shipping)
Another DXRacer model! Similar to the Tank series on this list, the DXRacer Boss series has a heavy-duty mechanism and is made for users between 300 and 425 lbs (192 kg). This model is particularly popular in professional work environments because of its unique backseat. The design is inspired by a mix of gaming chairs and high-end office chairs. The integrated head cushion is comfortable and it's a nice addition to have. The backseat is not as tall as the Tank series, so we usually recommend this model for users up to 185 cm (6'1").
- - Heavy-duty mechanism: Height adjustment, tilt lock, tilt tension
- - 3" casters/wheels: Smoother to move, especially on carpet
- - Polyurethane cover: Easier to clean
- - 4-Direction armrests
- - Includes 2 free cushions
- - 2-year warranty on frame, 2-year warranty on parts
If you're looking for a gaming chair for comfort, but don't want something too flashy or "racing" looking, this is the best option by far.
This is the end of our top models made for big and tall guys.
There are other gaming chairs available that can support weight close to 300 lbs, but we wanted to focus on models capable of a higher weight limit that can also support taller people. We also wanted to avoid chairs with short warranties (less than 1 year). We consider this type of purchase as a long-term investment and the longer the warranty is, the longer the chair will last.
We hope this list will help you find your next gaming chair! You can leave a comment below or send us an email if you have any questions.
